About Robert Hustead

I have been involved in photography for over 40 years. I have worked as a professional photographer shooting weddings, special events, portraits, product photography and illustration for publications. At this point in life, I am still interested in commercial work, but I am focusing more of my resources and attention on photography for art's sake. Photography has been and continues to be a learning process and one of life's great adventures.

With the advent of the personal computer, I discovered and began experimenting with digital art. Almost immediately, I became intrigued with the many ways photography and digital processes could be joined together, overlapped and enhance one another. I consider digital art to be an art form of equal stature with more contemporary art forms. Happily, Digital art is gaining more and more mainstream acceptance. It is a product of our technological age and a sign of the times in which we live. The produce of digital artists is increasing in multiples as time goes by. We are exploring avenues of expression that never existed before.
